Integrating Big Data into M&E of Development Programmes
(New York) UN Global Pulse and The Rockefeller Foundation will host a half-day event marking the launch of the ‘Integrating Big Data into the Monitoring and Evaluation of Development Programmes’ Report.
The Report outlines the opportunities around using data analytics for development monitoring and evaluation and proposes an approach to incorporating new sources of data, methods and technologies into current M&E practices.
The event will kick off with a summary presentation on the findings of the Report, and invite participation from the audience to share current approaches used in their organizations for integrating big data into the M&E of development programmes. The event will also provide an avenue for participants to engage in discussions regarding relevant prototypes and projects and how they can best be scaled up through knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
